Some White Rock Beach residents woke up in the cold dark as the power went off about 5:36 am and came back on about 11:30 am. The high winds may have had something to do with it.

With the high winds coming off the ocean, residents should be prepared for more outages this winter. Better safe than sorry.
Flashlights, candles, bottled water and canned food are emergency supplies. The McDonald’s in South Surrey was not affected, and we had our breakfast there.
