Summary

Rain, at times heavy, is expected. A Pacific frontal system bringing abundant moisture will continue to produce rain tonight. Rainfall amounts up to 52mm have been reported over Howe Sound and the northern portions of Metro Vancouver. Further amounts near 15mm are expected tonight. The rain will ease by Monday morning as the front moves off to the north. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. Email reports of severe weather to [email protected] or tweet with the hashtag #BCStorm.
