Issued at 00:36 Tuesday 17 November 2015
Summary
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring. A frontal system will move across Vancouver Island today with an accompanying low pressure centre tracking into the BC Interior. West to southwest winds of 70 to 90 km/h will begin over the West Coast of Vancouver Island late this morning and then spread to the affected areas of the Inner South Coast this afternoon. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds. Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.

Old, torn and sometimes photos in two or more pieces can be restored to their original state or better. Ric Wallace does a high resolution scan from your original image and electronically uses a computer to do the retouching and corrections. High quality photographic prints can be obtained from the computer file. The computer file can be supplied on CD/ DVD, USB, or downloaded from the internet to ensure exact copies can be made for years to come, with no loss in quality like prints made from negatives which will degrade over time.
