On Wednesday March 2 at about 7 am I saw fire trucks on the scence of the Super Suds Car Wash.
The fire at DJ Auto Market and Super Suds Carwash, at 2377 King George Blvd., broke out just before 2 a.m., and at its height, 26 firefighters were working to bring it under control.
On Monday Feb 29, 2015 I was standing in the same spot I took this picture 30 hours eariler. I had just vacummed the car, getting rid of the peanut shells and other stuff.

About 30 hours before the fire, I was looking at the building and noticed they sell purified water – I just came back from Costco in Langley with bottled water.
I had thought these people had a good thing going and maybe the water would be cheaper than Costco (I cannot drink White Rock Water – unless in tea or coffee). Gas was 15 cents a litre cheaper than White Rock.
About 30 hours eariler, I had used his car wash stall to clean our car. Living at the beach I would frequent this place to get the salt spray off the car for the cost of one token. I could get 24 tokens for $20. 
This place always had good HOT water pressure and gave you lots of soap for your money. In Ontario the Petro-Canada self serve cash wash I used would charge me $3.00 for what I could do here for a buck or 83 cents if I used a token (24 for $20).

I was talking to an insurance appraiser who said maybe 10 people stopped to say this was my favorite car wash – my words too. This looks like a total write-off. Hopefully they rebuild. With soaring property values something else could take the place of this much loved car wash.
