Hundreds of fireworks went off at the same time on three barges in San Diego Bay creating an accidental yet spectacular display. No one was injured. The technical malfunction caused officials to cancel the fireworks show for the first time in the 12 year year history of the “Big Bay Boom” – the largest fireworks display in San Diego County.
