Lucky and Sugar-toes decided to play hooky from taking really cool photos at White Rock Beach and designing websites to travel to the US for gas and lunch. We stopped at Midway Gas in Lynden, WA where regular gas was $3.769 per US gallon or 98.18 cents per liter, while in White Rock gas was 138.9 cents per liter ($5.279 a gallon). Buying about 40 liters could be a savings of $16. With the money we saved, we put it towards lunch at Cedars Restaurant and Lounge at 12019 Main St., Ferndale, WA 98248.

Lucky ordered the Double Decker Club Sandwich with steak fries, while Sugar-toes is a burger girl and ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. Lucky loved the bottomless pop, as he downed a few pops no problem; the server brought them without asking, usually because he does not stop talking and gets real thirsty.
Lucky likes to pose with his food and brings a camera everywhere he goes.

Lucky recently sold some Rally-Squirrel.com magnets, so with that profit and the money we saved on gas, it paid for lunch. Plus he gave the girls a WhiteRockBeach.ca magnet and Lucky the Lottery Squirrel magnets so they could check out our sites. Lily on the left was first to say “I know that Squirrel” — yes, he has been on American Television (many times). Claire was keen to pick up on our Ontario accent and even said she has been to Toronto. Lily, Claire and all the other staff want Canadians and their fellow Americans to make the trip to Ferndale in Washington State and dine at Cedars Restaurant & Lounge at 12019 Main St., Ferndale, WA 98248, Tel 360-384-2847.
