SummaryRain, at times heavy, is expected. A frontal system is bringing rain to Metro Vancouver and Howe Sound. Additional rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm can be expected before the rain tapers off later this morning. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. Summary

Rain, at times heavy, continues. A strong Pacific front will continue to bring rain heavy at times to the South Coast. Rainfall amounts of 50 mm are expected for Howe Sound and near the Northshore in by early Wednesday, The heaviest rain will ease Wednesday morning as the front moves out of the region. Another front will bring more rain with amounts up to 20 mm in Howe Sound through Wednesday.

Summary

Rainfall – early evening. Brief but heavy rain continues. A band of heavy rain extending from White Rock northeastwards through Pitt Meadows is very slowly shifting to the east. 36 mm of rain has been reported in White Rock over the past three hours. Maple Ridge and portions of Langley are likely to experience heavy rain this evening. Locally heavy rainfall is expected to continue for the next few hours.
